Please read to get a better idea of what the tour is all about and tour guidelines:
Walking Tours of the Locations of Odd & Dreadful Happenings from the rich history of downtown New Albany, Indiana!
This tour is based on actual documented historical events. During the tour, we will visit the locations and the guide will share information and stories about the site. This is not a "haunted house" type tour (NO jump scares) but hopefully the chilling, graphic, and shocking details from history will do the trick!
This tour will mainly stay in the area of downtown New Albany with a few outliers. We visit the sites where events actually occurred, are said to have occurred, or in some instances, have a direct connection to the event. Some examples of events are murders, tragic accidents, crimes, ghostly hauntings, and other supernatural goings-on! (most from the 1800 to early 1900s)
We encourage you to do some spirit/ghost hunting on the tour, so please bring along some tools of the trade: cameras, EMF readers, EVP recorders etc. Most of this can be done from a cell phone! See our website for recommendations!
We also recommend that you bring your cell phone with you as we will be referring to historical pictures on our website to accentuate the tour!
Please try and meet us at the Southeast corner of E. Market St. and Bank St. in downtown New Albany at least 10 minutes prior to the event start.
Tours will last approximately 2-2 1/2 hours.
